Nirvana school runs primarily on donations and via sponsorship of the children.

Whatever sum you can donate will make a huge difference.

We would also welcome corporate donations.

Vinu massi frequently receives donations to be used in specific ways such as giving the children extra milk, cow feeding or presents for the children at the orphanages.

Here are some other examples of how donations have been used in the past:

• Providing new, brighter uniforms for all the children at the school.
• Building a new classroom for children learning in cramped rooms with no desks or chairs.
• Feeding the children with special foods such as Indian sweets, which are a luxury to them.

Here are some recent examples of how significant donations have helped the school.

1. A backup power generator was installed in August 2005 from funds raised at Kara Wilson's "Deco Diva" event (see concert ) and from a cash donation of £1500 received from a miscellaneous donor in London.

2. A new, proper dining hall was built in summer 2005 after a significant corporate donation from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. The children will now benefit from a cool and well lit eating area.

3. In 2003, the school buildings were doubled in size. This was funded mainly by a very generous donation of £10,000 from a London businessman who preferred to remain anonymous.
