About Nirvana School |
Nirvana School was opened in 1995 by Mrs Samani who initially began tutoring children in front of her house. With the support of people all over the world, she has been able to provide a valuable education to a school currently holding 350 children.
The school is located about a ten minute drive from the centre of Pondicherry, South India, 80 miles from Chennai (Madras).
The children in the school are aged between 3 and 13 years old, and the usual subjects such as maths, english, science and art are taught.
